It was the summer of 1991, four friends where driving to a golf tournament. A suggestion was made to get a few friends together and hold their own golf tournament. To make the tournament more interesting they decided to raise some money for a charity. The Hospital For Sick Children was chosen.

The first year a few friends turn into 120 golfers. With one sponsor, $4500 was raised. Without the aid of a large corporation and the support of individuals and small local business, nearly $200,000 has been donated to “SickKids”.

The Hospital For Sick Children provides the best treatment for many children in Canada and around the world. The future promise of “SickKids” rest upon availability of more fund to provide modern equipment and support services for new advances in diagnosis, treatment and care.

Friendship Charity Classic will continue to be an organization in which small business and individuals can support such a worthy cause.
